2504.1.2 Studless Partitions
The minimum thickness of vertically erected studless solid plaster partitions of 3/8-inch (9.5 mm) and ¾-inch (19.1 mm) rib metal lath or ½-inch-thick (12.7 mm) long-length gypsum lath and gypsum board partitions shall be 2 inches (51 mm).
National Partitions:
National Partitions walls are a minimum of 3" thick.
Others:
Others have walls that are less than 2" thick and may not comply with this section.
