Foam Plastics are the most common wall panel core used in the industry. The reason this material is so popular is that no other panel core can match its value. Foam plastics are economical, energy efficient and very strong when used in composite panels.
This chapter addresses plastics in construction mainly because it is a flammable material.
It is important to note that compliance requires testing. In many cases it is the system that passes the test not the materials.
